The list of unavailable players in Manchester City’s English football squad has grown,
with his Argentine star, Sergio Aguero, added to the list after coming into contact with a coronavirus patient, and placing him in quarantine.
Since Christmas, at least 8 of Aguero’s teammates have been tested positive, they are Brazilians Gabriel Jesus and Ederson, Kyle Walker, Scott Carson, Cole Palmer, Tommy Doyle, Spaniards Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia, and Jesيزs Walker left the stone, and participated late in the Birmingham match, Ederson remained on the bench.
City has recorded a total of 11 positive cases of Covid-19 in recent weeks, but despite the negative results of his examination, Aguero will be subject to isolation, in line with health protocols.
The team’s Spanish coach, Josep Guardiola, said: “Unfortunately, Sergio Agüero has been in prolonged contact with a positive person, so he is in solitary confinement for a few days.”
He added, “His (Aguero) result is negative, but the protocol states that if you have contact with a positive person, you must isolate yourself.”
