Iran is preparing to invest in a new energy source

Iran announced that it was preparing to inaugurate the first power plant from underground, by investing in the geothermal heat of the planet in Mishkeen Shahr district in Ardabil Governorate, northwest of Iran.

As Assistant Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs in Iran, Humayun Haeri, announced that he was informed that the geothermal energy project will be completed by the end of the current Iranian year, that is, around March 20 of next year 2021.

Noting that this project will be included in the Iranian electricity network at the end of this year, which will constitute a new energy source for the country.

It is estimated that the electricity generation capacity will reach 35 megawatts in the near future, and will support the electricity grid in the province.
