Washington to Riyadh: Stopping war in Yemen and human rights are our priority

During a phone call, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken told his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, that the issues of stopping the war in Yemen and human rights were a priority for the administration of US President Joe Biden.

In a statement, the US State Department said: that Blinken phoned Ibn Farhan, where they discussed “regional security, combating terrorism, and cooperation to deter and defend attacks on the Kingdom.”

According to the ministry, Blinken highlighted “a number of central priorities for the new administration, including raising human rights issues and stopping the war in Yemen.”
