US Treasury announces new sanctions

Today, Thursday, the US Treasury Department indicated that the United States has imposed Iran-related sanctions on Yemeni, Syrian and other entities and individuals.
The ministry revealed in a statement that these sanctions are “related to terrorism” and were imposed on “members of a network that helps the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Houthis in Yemen.”
She also added that “this network collects tens of millions of dollars for the Houthis from sales of commodities, including Iranian oil.”
The sanctions included two Yemenis, two Syrians, an Emirati, a Somali and an Indian, in addition to entities based in Dubai, Istanbul and Sana’a in Yemen, which are controlled by the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group.
