US Army withdraws half of its forces from Afghanistan

The commander of the US Central Command, General Kenneth McKenzie, announced that his country’s army continues to withdraw from Afghanistan at a good pace, according to the announced agreement with the Taliban.
“We’re almost halfway there and going at a comfortable pace for us, and everything is going well,” McKenzie said today.
At the same time, he pointed out that the targeting of al-Qaeda and ISIS continues, but it will be without the presence of forces on the ground.
