lawyer for the law team that will defend the former US president, Donald Trump, announced that his team will focus on “procedural objections” during his trial in the Senate as part of his impeachment process, which begins on Tuesday.
In his statement, attorney Bruce Castor Jr. said that Trump’s defense team will try to “win the case based on a set of procedural objections,” explaining that it includes challenging the possibility of trying a former Congress president after he left office.
Castor declared his rejection of the trial in the Senate, describing it as “unconstitutional”.
