Syrian authorities release 26 detainees from Douma

The Syrian government announced the release of a number of detainees from the eastern Ghouta area in Damascus countryside, which witnessed a long war between armed factions and the Syrian army during the past years.
The official Syrian news agency, SANA, said that 26 detainees from Ghouta had been released.
The agency pointed out that those arrested were those who were deceived, and their hands were not stained with blood, “and their release came within the framework of reconciliation operations, and during an event in the city of Douma.”
