New update from Samsung for old phones

South Korean

company “Samsung” launched the “Galaxy Upcycling at Home” project, which aims to exploit some of the old Galaxy phones in new uses, and transform the phone device into a smart home sensor with some functions. By downloading a software update through the “SmartThings” application, users can access two main functions. The first is a sound sensor that detects the sound of a child crying, pet barking, meowing or knocking on the door, and when it detects one of these things, it sends an alert to your phone. With voice recording, the user can listen to the recorded voice. The second function is the light level sensor, which can automatically turn on a connected light when the brightness levels in the room drop below a certain threshold
