A recent poll showed
that 44% of Americans believe that President Joe Biden’s administration bears more responsibility for the crisis in the South American border with Mexico than the administration of former President Donald Trump, while 28% believe that Trump is responsible.
20% saw that the two departments are equally responsible, and 7% considered that neither department is responsible.
73% of Republicans said that the burden rests on the shoulders of the current administration, a feeling shared by 38% of independents, while 46% of Democratic respondents said that the burden rests on the shoulders of the Trump administration.
It is noteworthy that Biden announced that his deputy, Kamala Harris, will lead the United States’ efforts with Mexico and the countries of the Northern Triangle to try to stop the flow of immigration to the United States
