American sheikhs agree to decision to keep embassy in Jerusalem

Late on Thursday evening, the US Senate voted on the decision to maintain the US embassy in Jerusalem, by a vote of 97 to 3 ..
three voices opposing the resolution belong to Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and Tom Carber of Delaware.
In a statement, Oklahoma Senator, Republican Jim Einhoff said, “The amendment should not be controversial to anyone. Our position in the United States for 25 years has been that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, and our embassy should be in Jerusalem.”
Note that this vote can be considered to a large extent symbolic, given that the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden previously stated that it does not intend to move the US embassy from Jerusalem.
