4 Brazilian states for Copa America

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro confirmed his government’s support for holding the Copa America in the country, noting that life must continue despite the repercussions of the Corona epidemic.
“On behalf of South American football, I would like to thank President Jair Bolsonaro for taking the effective decision,” CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez said on Twitter.
In his message, he stressed that the tournament will be held without the presence of the public and according to strict “health protocols”.
It is noteworthy that CONMEBOL announced last Monday that the tournament, which was scheduled in Colombia and Argentina, will finally be held in Brazil from June 13 to July 10.
The South American Confederation said on its Twitter account, “The 2021 South American Cup will be held in Brazil. The start and end date of the tournament has been confirmed,” hours after Argentina decided to abandon hosting it due to the Corona virus, ten days after its partner Colombia withdrew for the same reason.
